Rising Leader

A leadership development program for participants looking to deepen their understanding of the organization, and form relationships within our community. It provides a chance to go behind-the-scenes and experience the planning that goes into HuskyTHON, as well as be a part of a team! HRLs are asked to raise $300 which guarantees them a food band, and a participant t-shirt at Night-Of.

Captain

Each Director on The Management Team will have a group of Captains under them that will help with their duties, their initiatives and in shaping the future of HuskyTHON. Captains are asked to raise $750 which guarantees them a food band, and a participant t-shirt at Night-Of.

Dancer Representative

A representative from each team who serves as the main point of contact between their team and the HuskyTHON Management Team. Dancer Representatives are also the liaison for the Miracle Families that their organization hosts on Night-Of, working with the foundation and family to ensure all of the kiddos have a great day. DRs are asked to raise $800, this guarantees them a food band, and a participant t-shirt at Night-Of.

Morale Captain

A group of individuals who are tasked with enthusiastically inspiring others to get involved in HuskyTHON throughout the year, as well as exciting fellow dancers during the event itself. Morale Captains learn the Morale dance, which is done at the top of every hour, and teach it to other participants on Night-Of. These individuals are asked to raise $1000, which guarantees them a food band, a participant t-shirt, and a nametag on Night-Of.

What is JonaTHONs?

The JonaTHONs program works with K-12 schools across the state to plan, implement, and host events or fundraisers at their own schools. The JonaTHONs Program was created in 2015 and has since evolved to include schools all over New England in our efforts to raise both funds and awareness for Connecticut Children’s! Our main goal is to encourage schools to host events that support our yearlong fundraising efforts and spread our message to a larger community.

Examples of School Fundraisers

There are unlimited ways your school can fundraise! Some of our most popular fundraisers are Mini Dance Marathons, Spirit Weeks, Sports Tournaments, Carnivals, Pie-A-Teacher, Penny Wars—the list is endless! However your school wants to be involved is entirely up to you, we are here to support you and your students.

How can your school be involved?

Contact our Co-Directors of JonaTHONs to get started! There are no fees or requirements to be a part of the program – all you need is some excited and motivated students, an advisor, and permission from the school! If you have your own idea for an event or need ideas, our JonaTHONs team is there to help every step of the way to make it happen.
