What is HuskyTHON?
HuskyTHON is a year-long philanthropic effort at the University of Connecticut to raise funds and awareness for Connecticut Children’s, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. This effort culminates in an 18-hour dance marathon, where thousands of UConn students come together to dance for those who can’t. HuskyTHON is entirely student-run, led by our Management Team of 34 undergraduate student leaders who work tirelessly to make HuskyTHON better than the year before.
HuskyTHON is one of the top 10 dance marathons in the country and is the largest Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon in the Northeast. Over the past 27 years, HuskyTHON has raised over $17M, making it the largest third-party fundraiser for Connecticut Children’s.

From humble beginnings, we’ve grown to become the largest student-run philanthropy in the state. We’re proud of that, but our work is far from over. For as long as kids need hospitals, we’ll be around supporting them. And while our efforts are always changing and improving, our core purposes remain the same.
From 1999 to 2026, HuskyTHON has grown from making $13,878 to over 2.2 million dollars! This is all possible through active planning and fundraising throughout the year. The amazing growth and success of HuskyTHON could not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our student-run Management Team, committee members, and all of our participants!
HuskyTHON 2026 raised a total of $2,223,489.67 for Connecticut Children’s. Connecticut Children’s is a nationally recognized, 205-bed non-profit children’s hospital serving as the primary teaching hospital for the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. The money raised by HuskyTHON helps them continue their mission of giving kids the care they deserve.
